Cattlemen are always looking at improving their herd genetics for more productivity.

International visitors had a chance recently to see the best of the best in Canadian cattle genetics recently at Agribition in Regina.

Adrian de la Garza visited the show in the late 80’s where he bought some Canadian genetics to take home.

De la Garza is president of the Cattlemen’s Association in Monterrey, Mexico and was interested in Simmental and Charolais genetics.

He notes while the climate may be different, we work our ranches in a similar way and the animals do well.
