Ste. Anne's Deputy Fire Chief says a portion of southbound Highway 12 was closed for two hours Thursday evening as crews put out the fire.

Roger Pelland says the tractor pulling two trailers loaded with square straw bales caught fire on Highway 12 around 6pm. He notes fire crews were able to quickly extinguish the blaze and save all but about six bales from the trailer.
