Participants in phase one of the Power Smart Manitoba Summer Games in Steinbach are singing the praises of the organizing committee. Phase one wrapped up this morning and those approximately one thousand athletes are packing up and going home. Another one thousand athletes arrive Wednesday afternoon for phase two.

Ryan Brody, coach of the Team Central baseball squad, says it has been a fantastic experience for them.

"The guys had a chance to check out some of the other sports and interact with some of the other athletes and this is something they'll remember forever."

Jamieson Krentz, Team Eastman baseball coach, says the games are very well run.

"From the moment we got on the bus, the athletes' village has been great, the accommodations, the food, we can't complain about anything. The baseball diamonds are great, the weather has been perfect, it's just been a great week."
