The paving of Old Tom Road in the northeast corner of Steinbach begins Monday.

City Manager Troy Warkentin says crews will complete an asphalt surfacing along Old Tom. Crews will also pave gravel sections of Loewen Boulevard and Park Road from Old Tom going west.

The project will cost about $1.2 million.

Warkentin asks motorists heading down Old Tom Road during construction to use caution and be patient.

The project is expected to be complete by the end of August.
