Six year old Ty Brewster is one of six Canadian kids who have qualified for the U.S. Kids World Golf Championships.

Dad Dennis Brewster says this is the world series of golf for kids and will take place in Pinehurst, North Carolina. Brewster notes Ty has continued to surprise him this year with his accomplishments and his hard work ethic.

"For a six year old to put the work in that he does; he doesn't ever say no. Often times he's the one telling me it's time to go to the golf course. And I don't drag him there, but I do drag him off. He doesn't want to leave, he puts the work in and it shows."

Brewster notes Ty is consistently shooting just over par.

"I'm at the point now where I don't want to golf against him either," laughs Brewster. "He's beating me on a pretty consistent basis."

Brewster says they will be leaving Monday for Pinehurst. Ty will have practice rounds Tuesday and Wednesday and then the three day tournament runs from Thursday until Saturday. He will be playing against 70 other kids from ten different countries.
