April 5th 1997 was the beginning of the major spring blizzard that would eventually be called the storm of the century and contribute to the 1997 flood.

Though there is snow falling this Tuesday forecasts indicate we do not need to worry about a life altering blizzard. Environment Canada is predicting only two centimetres of snow in the afternoon and two centimetres in the evening. Environment Canada's forecast for Wednesday is calling for a small chance of flurries in the morning, rain or snow beginning in the afternoon, and a high of four degrees.
