There was a fatal crash east of Beausejour Tuesday night.

At approximately 9 am on Wednesday, Whitemouth RCMP received a report of a vehicle located off the roadway on Highway 44 near Milner Ridge Road, also known as Seddons corner. It was also reported that someone had died in the crash.

When officers arrived on scene, a dead male was located, and police say the car was severely damaged.

The investigation has determined that the collision happened Tuesday at approximately 10:30 pm. Police believe the vehicle was travelling west along Highway 44 when it hit the south shoulder. The driver overcorrected, crossed the highway and entered the north ditch and then into the bush, striking a tree.

It is believed that speed was a factor in the collision.

Police say the 20-year-old male driver and lone occupant was from Tyndall.

An RCMP Forensic Collision Reconstructionist is assisting with the ongoing investigation.
