Leanne Muldrew loved the sport of volleyball. She was crazy about it from a very young age. She watched it, she played it, she ate, slept and breathed it! It was her life until at the age of 16 she injured her knee so bad that she was told she'd never play again. She wanted to quit but her friends and coaches wouldn't let her. There was no "Sitting Volleyball" game at the time so, she reluctantly coached. It kept her involved in the sport and when the time was right, a contact she had made, recommended her for Canada's Sitting Volleyball team and she jumped at the chance to play again.

Fast forward to 2016 and Leanne Muldrew is wearing a Team Canada jacket and will be representing her home country at the 2016 Paralympics in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil!! What a story filled with obstacles and what an amazing testament to never quitting and going for your dreams. She is an inspiration to us all and we were MORE than honoured to have her join us on The Morning Show today!!

The Paralympics will run from September 7th to the 18th and we will be cheering our Canadian Paralympians on in a big way!! Well done Leanne!! All the best in Rio!!
