On Tuesday the Faculty of Agriculture and Food Sciences at the U of M hosted a field day at its test plot.
Dr. Karen Whittenberg says over 100 people from all over the province showed up to find out how they could use manure to their benefit.  She says having these test plots has enabled them to find ways to improve the situation on some of the grasslands in Manitoba.  And it has also allowed them to bring together partners from all levels of government and for the first time have them work on  a research site.  Plus it also benefits the producers in the La Broquerie area because they become the demonstration sites for others in the industry.
